Jan Agati Abbarno is a recognized artist and educator whose roots are in Western New York. Her work is in permanent collections of The Roswell Park Cancer Institute and The Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo, New York and is in numerous private collections throughout the United States.

 

Jan's work has been exhibited in Western New York at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, the Albright Knox Art Gallery, the Castellani Art Museum, Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, Meibohm Fine Arts, the Kenan Center, Western New York Artist's Gallery, Big Orbit Gallery, Studio Hart, Indigo Gallery and more. She has also has exhibited in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinios and by invitation at Bausch + Lomb Optics Corporate Art Program and Geisel Gallery in Rochester, New York.

 

Jan has participated in public art projects, including: Art on Wheels, Restoration of The Mural at Friends of Night People Soup Kitchen, Design and Painting Of The Reflection Chapel at Our Lady of Hope Rectory. She served as Graphic designer for The Kavinoky Theatre for 11 years and did freelance design work.

A teacher of 42 years, she now devotes herself full-time to her studio and volunteer work.
